Collective memory for teams

Collective memory is Skynet’s flagship team feature, available on Teams and Enterprise. Every individual’s memory rolls up into their team’s memory, and every team’s memory rolls up into one organization-wide brain: a living layer that tracks and learns across the company instead of resetting with every new chat.

From individual memory to company brain

  • Individual memory is what one person’s Skynet knows: their conversations, documents, and preferences.
  • Team memory is what a team shares: project discussions, meeting notes, and decisions everyone on the team can draw on.
  • The company brain is all of it combined at the organization level: the accumulated context, patterns, and history of how the company actually works.

When any team member interacts with Skynet (asks a question, processes a document, attends a meeting, or runs an agent), the relevant knowledge is added at the right layer, and everyone above that layer benefits from it without having to rediscover it themselves.

What the company brain does for you

Because it sits across every connected source, the company brain doesn’t just answer questions, it acts on what it knows:

  • Creates agents for incoming requests. When a customer request comes in, Skynet can identify it and spin up an agent to work it, instead of waiting for someone to notice and assign it.
  • Gets you ready before the meeting starts. Before a client call, Skynet has already pulled the relevant history, so you walk in prepared instead of scrambling beforehand.
  • Recognizes patterns across the team, not just for one person, and proposes automating the ones that repeat. See skills.

Selective memory

Not everything should be shared. Selective memory gives you granular control over what enters the collective memory and what stays private:

  • Private memory: personal conversations, individual tasks, and private projects remain visible only to you.
  • Team memory: project discussions, shared documents, meeting notes, and team-wide decisions are added to the collective.
  • Organization memory: company-wide policies, templates, and knowledge bases can be shared across all teams.
  • Granular controls: admins can set policies on what types of interactions contribute to collective memory, and lock a specific project down further with project-level defense.

Why it matters

  • Faster onboarding: a new hire starts with no memory of their own, but inherits the team’s, so they can produce real results on day one instead of spending weeks catching up.
  • No lost knowledge: when someone leaves the team, their contributed knowledge stays.
  • Real-time learning: the team’s AI gets smarter with every interaction, instantly rather than over months.
  • Consistent quality: everyone gets AI responses informed by the same knowledge base.

Because it’s your data

The company brain only works as a moat if the data behind it stays yours. Skynet doesn’t train its models on what your team feeds it; everything above stays inside your organization’s own memory, not a shared pool that improves someone else’s product. See what makes Skynet different and data uses.
